Salty Paws SVG

Our animal charity and safehouse is located on Union Island in St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

We are not a Rescue. We are an Animal Clinic, with visiting Vets helping us to treat the island animals for diseases, and perform Spay and Neuter Clinics.

We currently house more than 30 animals and we are full. We can not accept any more animals, so please do not bring any animals to Salty Paws without contacting us first.

Hurricane Beryl recently hit us as a category 4/5 hurricane on July 1st 2024 and destroyed our island. Our clinic is badly damaged but we are able to still perform surgeries. We need as much donations as possible.

We run regular spay and neuter clinics, so that the population of unwanted cats and dogs is under control. We have no full time vet here, and the nearest veterinary clinic is 2-3 hours away via boat to another island. Often times we deal with dogs that have been hit by cars, with severe injuries. There are many starving strays with terrible skin conditions such as mange and tick & flea issues.

We try to treat strays for worms and basic skin conditions so that they can at least live a more comfortable life.

Salty Paws SVG is fully funded by Zoe the owner of The Salty Girl, however we accept donations so that we can help more. The mission is never ending and there will forever be animals to care for, so any donation is very much appreciated.

We only accept volunteer vets with experience in working in third world countries and with basic equipment. We do what we can with what we have, so we need vets that can adapt easily. Must have spay and neuter experience for smaller and larger animals. Cats and Dogs mostly.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us. We need all the help that we can get for our furry friends.
